1. New Planning Applications for Old Portsmouth
The following Planning Applications have been forwarded to the Council Planning Department since the last meeting:

07/01355/TPO  Outside 12-26 Woodville Drive, Pembroke Park
3 Horse Chestnuts (T9, T10, T11) crown reduce by 20% and crown lift to 3 metres, located within Tree Preservation Order 100.

2. Development Control Committee’s decisions for Old Portsmouth
The following decisions were made at the meeting of 15th August 2007:

07/01168/PLAREG 11&12 Grand Parade, OP
Retention of single storey roof access extension.
There were no deputations at the meeting but an objection to the proposal had been received from a local resident on the grounds of poor design and use of materials detrimental to this conservation area. This objection had been supported by a local councillor (Paula Riches) whose letter was presented at the meeting. Nevertheless, the committee approved the application by majority decision of 6:1.
Decision: APPROVED 15/08/07.

07/00761/FUL  Gunwharf Road Car Park
Retention of 6 CCTV cameras located on four lamp-posts in fixed position.
This application had been previously deferred because a local resident from Gunwharf Gate objecting to the siting of one of the cameras affecting his privacy.
At the meeting the committee listened to deputations against the proposal from the
resident and for the proposal from a Wight Link representative but decided unanimously to reject the application. Wight Link are to be invited to consider the re-positioning of the camera under dispute.
Decision: REFUSAL 15/08/07

3. Head of Planning Services Decisions for Old Portsmouth
The following decisions have been made since the last meeting:

07/00978/COT 12 St Nicholas Street , OP
2 lime and 1 maple, crown lift to 3m over footpath and 5m over highway and crown reduce by 30%, located in front garden within Conservation Area 4
Decision: No objections 04/07/07

 

07/01330/FUL  Portsmouth Sailing Club, 21 Bath Square
Various alterations to front elevation including extension to steps and returning walls, and replacement of handrails and front door
Decision: Conditional Permission 21/08/07

07/01157/CCS  Victoria Pier, Broad Street
Installation of 2.4m high palisade fencing and gates to pier entrance
Application withdrawn 9th August 2007
